Club To Offer Weekend Entertainment

OVERBROOK - Ken Krause is excited about his plans for his new
business in Overbrook.
The first phase of his business venture opens this weekend with live
entertainment. Country Riders will kick-off the opening of
the Palladium and Lounge,104 Fourth Street. The country-western band
will perform both Friday and Saturday nights. The Palladium will be
open weekends only. Country-western dance lessons will be given
later this month. Krause said he also plans to form a
"Stardust,. Club'". that will., meet
Wednesday nights for an evening of music from the '40s and '50s.
Customers got a sneak preview of the lounge March 17 when Krause
opened it for one night in observation of St. Patrick's Day.
In May, Krause plans to expand his business with the opening of an
outdoor dining area - The Garden. This area, he said,
will be a place families may come to relax, eat and enjoy the
outdoor entertainment. Sandwiches, side orders and beverages will be
served from the club's kitchen -under construction - to both the
Garden and the lounge.
Krause said he hopes to have the kitchen completed by May'. After
construction is finished, a midnight breakfast will be served Friday
and Saturday nights. The Palladium and Lounge is located in the
building that housed the former Ganders club. The club has a north
entrance on Fourth Street and is located behind the Overbrook
Pharmacy. |
